The Nation's Best was created by Andrew Mitchell, "ChiChi".
Throughout more than 21 years in the cheerleading industry, ChiChi has worn many hats: athlete, choreographer, all star coach, collegiate coach, gym director, judge, consultant and entrepreneur.
That range of experience has allowed him to see the sport from nearly every angle - from winning and losing on and off the mat, to athlete development, routine creation, recruiting, team evaluations, and program development. His work has taken him across the country and internationally, working with athletes and programs at every level - including exceptional teams such as USA Youth Coed & Junior Coed and Navarro College.
But The Nation's Best wasn't created simply because of his experience in cheer. It was created because of what that experience allowed him to see what the industry was missing.

Individual & Small Group Championship
There are athletes all over the country with extraordinary talent who may never become a household name in cheer. Maybe they don't compete for a recognizable program. Maybe they live in a smaller market. Maybe they're surrounded by other exceptional athletes and don't always get their individual moment.
I created The Nation's Best to give those athletes a platform where logo or location doesn't matter. Where athletes can step outside of their team identity, showcase what they can do, and earn recognition for their ability.
JUDGED WITH INTEGRITY
Each routine will be evaluated by a trusted panel of experienced cheerleading professionals who understand the standards required at the highest levels of our sport. Each judge was selected for their knowledge, expertise, and ability to evaluate routines objectively.

MORE THAN ANOTHER COMPETITION
My goal isn't to simply produce another cheerleading event.
I want The Nation's Best to become an institution within our industry. A place where individual excellence is nationally recognized, athletes are challenged to push their abilities, and earning the title of The Nation's Best truly means something.
Great athletes exist everywhere. If you have the talent, you deserve the opportunity to prove it.
