RULES

REGISTRATION

The fee is $50 per athlete. Registration will close at 11:59 CST December 1st, 2026.

AGE ELIGIBILITY

The athlete’s age on 12/31/2026 will determine eligibility. An athlete may compete in more than two age groups if they meet the age requirement.

[ Youth: Ages 7 to 11 ]

[ Junior: Ages 10 to 14 ]

[ Senior: Ages 13 to 19 ]

[ Open: 18 and up ]

MUSIC GUIDELINES

The Nation’s Best will provide custom music options that may be utilized for performance. It is not required to use the mixes; you may get a custom mix created. Any mix that mentions a program/gym name is prohibited.

UNIFORM

All group members must wear the same matching attire. No program/gym logo should be visible on the uniform.

VIDEO SUBMISSION

The video must be one take with clear sound of the music - the mix may be edited over the video - and a clear view of the routine is required. Edited videos will be disqualified.  Submission timeline is between December 4-7, 2026. Once registered, you will be emailed details.

DISQUALIFICATION

Any individual or group that does not follow these Rules and Regulations will be subjected to an automatic disqualification from the competition. If found that an individual competed as an ineligible-aged athlete, will result in forfeiting any award and the opportunity to participate in The Nation’s Best indefinitely.

REPLACEMENT

If an athlete is needed to be replaced, requests must be submitted in writing to info@IAmTheNationsbest.com and should include the athlete’s name, division, and new athlete's information. Be sure to contact us from the registered email.

 

ADDITIONAL CATEGORY DETAILS 

JUMPS - Must be connected with no break in-between.

COED - must have a side spot visible in the video and close to the stunt. They may be involved in the dismounts and transitions. The skill must be performed unassisted to receive credit.

Group: 0-2 Males

All Girl: 0 Males

Small Coed: 1-2 Males

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included with the registration?

The registration fee includes competition entry + event customized music created by industry leading producers from New Level Music. There will be two options / styles to choose from.

Am I allowed to compete in two divisions?

Yes. An athlete is allowed to compete in (2) different divisions but it cannot be the same division.

If eligible, an athlete may also compete in two different age groups.

How do you check eligibility?

The Nation's Best does not require documents to enter the virtual competition. Once placements are announced, each division winner will be required to forward documents to receive the reward.

 

Submitting false or forged documents will result in permanent disqualification from The Nation’s Best event.

Is there a required attire for performing athletes?

There is no required attire for The Nation's Best but all team members must match. Black on black is always a safe option. A program uniform is not acceptable.

What is the judging process?

Each division will be judged by three (3) judges: difficulty, execution and routine composition.

Each judge provides an overall impression score, which will be averaged out to one score.

When are video submissions due?

Video submission link will be available between December 4-7, 2026. Once registered, you will receive an email with details on how to submit.

What is the reward for winning?

Each champion will receive a personal "18x24" championship banner and The Nation's Best Championship jacket.

Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery arrival.

When is the live competition?

Currently, the event is a virtual competition. The goal is a live event by summer 2028.

Is there a specific scoring rubric for tumbling and building difficulty?

The skill expectation is based off the industry standard for each level. It is highly suggested to consult with your coach or gym owner on those level appropriate skills and understanding the scoring system.

Are there plans for more divisions in the future?

Yes. The live event will have new, additional divisions including female partner stunt, all male stunt, and group routines. We're starting small since it's a new event.

Reimbursement Policy

All registration fees are non-refundable once an athlete's application has been accepted and their division placement has been confirmed.

Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:

  • The athlete’s division is canceled or does not meet the minimum number of competitors.

  • The Nation’s Best cancels the event.

  • A documented medical condition prevents the athlete from competing, provided the request is submitted before the video-submission deadline.

 

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method, minus any non-refundable processing fees.

 

Registration fees may be transferred to another eligible athlete before the submission deadline with written approval from The Nation’s Best. Missed deadlines, incomplete submissions, disqualifications, scheduling conflicts, or a decision not to participate do not qualify for a refund.

 

All refund or transfer requests must be submitted in writing to info@IAmTheNationsbest.com and should include the athlete’s name, division, and reason for the request. Be sure to contact us from the registered email.
